I LOVE guy bourdin

Guy Bourdin is remembered as a photographer of the erotic-surrealistic school of fashion. His first fashion photographs were taken for French Vogue in 1955. They included a two-page spread of a woman wearing a hat and standing under three butchered cattle heads with their tongues hanging out. Quite outstanding in those days to then be hired again and again for fashion editorials. Guy made a name for himself in the 1970’s when he worked for Charles Jourdan shoes, quite often chopping off the models heads, or having them in compromising positions to make the shoes the focus. I saw the peep show exhibition years ago in Melbourne and it still remains my most loved exhibition.
