NY Fashion Week
Coco, Iekeliene and Vlada

The supers are showing their chameleon capabilities by doing an Evangelista and changing their hair tones. Vlada and Coco have become striking reds and Iekeliene is trying the peroxide blonde look. Coco who grew up a strawberry blonde wanted to have a change and was the first to dye, Vlada took on a similar Karen Elson tone and Iek now looks like a seventies Pink Floyd groupie.
ALEXANDER WANG

The new wunderkid of NYC has dazzled his VIP front row with his Spanish Matador takes on the Brooklyn underground party scene. Last season he created the MOD- model off duty- look, but this season seems directed to both his model followers and to the Anna Wintour’s and SJP’s of his fanclub- maybe due to the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award he won in November. A collection which has something for everyone. With Chanel tweed bike shorts, a Sloane white leather biker, bra tops and slashed white dresses this kid is the hit after hit NY rock star.
winter head-gear

Nothing tops off an outfit better than stand out winter headgear. United Bamboo seem to be taking their architectural influences up a notch with sculptured berets. Art scene sweetheart Terence Koh who features in the UB campaign was also front and centre checking out the earthy toned trenches over futuristic printed silk dresses. Rachel Comey capped off her signature prints with an array of knitted head warmers. Knotted turbans, pom pom tassled ear muffs, snoods and thick lets get physical head bands finished the knitted layered looks.
Black’n'Roll

New York Fashion Week is reknowned for having the most wearable clothes of the four destinations. Charlotte Ronson and Vena Cava have dished up a mix of Givenchy and Balenciaga for the daytime. Charlotte showed a rough n ready mostly black catwalk, with zip and cut out detailing as well as beautiful long black leather gloves. The Vena Cava duo had a stand still catwalk so it was more like hanging out at a Art Gallery Opening where the crowd is always extremely well dressed. Cowgirl belts met with high waisted dark denim jeans, and more of the fabric slashing, skin showing cut outs. The simplicity of the range was topped off with beautiful studded platforms.
Animal PRINT

Christopher Kane got the idea to use bright animal print fabric from The Flintstones last Spring catwalk and it seems to have stomped its way all through NY fashion week. DKNY- queen of monochromatic sportswear, DVF- who is all about loud prints, Rachel Comey and Miss Sixty have all borrowed from Mr Kane’s mood board. Electric oranges and reds mixed with the usual browns and blacks are featured in these Fall prints with the ever changing animal spots.

Yuck what has Iekeliene done to her head. She looks like a cheap trick. The gingers are a much better bet.
God bless Jerry Hall she rules. So good for Chanel
Leopard print is the shit, my new C.Kane cashmere jumper was broken in on the weekend and I felt like the poshest punk on the block. Kicking ass
