I am not a big fan of gritty rock with Sonic Youth guitars but I am into the stage costumes they wear. Only after reading about Saint Augustine Academy using them as an influence did I check out the Danish rock duo The Raveonettes. Sune Rose Wagner (on guitar,instruments, vocals) and Sharin Foo(on bass, guitar and vocals) represent the new Debbie Harry and Nike Drake style of dressing. All stretched neck stripes and The Velvet Underground casual cool.
