maise me

maise

After being in London for two years working at a fashion magazine, dressing up every day and never repeating an outfit I return back in Michael J Fox time to my old stomping ground working in film. Currently I am buying costumes for a film, earning megabucks compared to my peasants’ wage in London BUT how can I be happy when I have to wear jeans daily. My normal life is a strict diet of skirts and dresses and as a general rule I feel dirty and messy in jeans. This may be because I bought two pairs of the exact same skinny jeans in faded blue and grey/black as my uniform for set about eight years ago. The label no longer exists and the fade has almost arrived at a designer distress level, another fad I have managed to avoid.

Then comes along Maise, and their 80’s butt lifting high waisters. My life is about to change as I purchase some long overdue new jeans….I shall soon skip/Peggy Bundy shuffle to work. Pretty sure according to the rules, as in books written by women such as Victoria Beckham who feel the need to help others with their fashion choices would say that everyone should update the style of their jeans once or twice a year. By those calculations and thanks to Posh I can get Angel, Elk, Liberty, Sloane and even the Brighton shorts and still be owed some denim.
