Years ago I worked on a big Hollywood movie where the storyline was questionable but the costume sale at the end was Willy Wonka dreamland. I filled my hatchback car to the brim and clothed my family to this very day. My special find in the jumble sale was a one off magenta and pale pink patchwork Michelle Jank dress. Ready for a once in a lifetime wear I chose my moving to London party and it made me feel ready to face my fears and follow in her footsteps to Europe. Michelle was just one of those Australian designers most girls fantasized about..beautiful, talented and so tall with integrity she refused mass production and took to styling and jewellery design rather than interfering with her unique design mentality.

Recently a black garbage bag shoot on Ponystep and then a chance siighting at the Christopher Kane after party led me to google her latest venture, jewellery. I love chunky be-jewelled brooches reminiscent of another fellow Aussie in her I Should Be So Lucky filmclip.
