Photographer Mick Bruzzese, Fashion Editor Ryan Lobo, Hair and Make Up Jasmin Lo and modelled by Ella Drake.
Newcoming New Zealander Ella Drake spends her days as the Gucci fit model but after an exclusive with them for last Fashion Week she was allowed out to star during the Cruise Collections, Roberto Cavalli, DSquared2, and of course Gucci. Wonder if she will walk supreme for the European leg of Fashion Week.
“Все Новое” | Harper’s Bazaar Russia September 2010. Models Lisanne De Jong & Australian Lauren Brown shot by Billy Nava, stylist Natalia Alaverdian, Hair: Jenna Menard, Make-up: Benoit Moeyaert.
Lauren has a face that will last as she becomes an instant chameleon depending on her make-up. This makes her hard to distinguish from other sandy blondes with defined check bones but also ensures a longer career. So far she has walked in NY for Yoana Baraschi and Altuzarra.
I found this new blog. A cool English photographer by the name of Andrea Carter-Bowman but as it stands I only write about Australian and at a pinch NZ talents… lucky for me Andrea shot a beautiful test of Lauren Brown. A name that will be more household once NY Fashion Week continues. There is something so intimate and better than most editorials when it comes to test shots. On the right is not an Aussie but I love the shot- Adrianna @ Wilhelmena.

New Zealand label Salasai’s Spring/Summer 2010/2011 collection has been around for a while but it is only now as the sun finally breaks through the non stop rain I can fathom looking at short mini dresses and lacey knitwear. I want the whole white dotted short sleeve dress outfit right now.
“Inspired by classic 1950s juvenile delinquent films like Lost, Lonely and Vicious, Rebel Without a Cause and The Wild One” the simplistic colour chart and silhouettes with stocking socks is 100 per cent in accordance with the look I want for this Spring. Floaty with a slight tomboy edge.
Years ago when I was still in London town I got to work with the very Talented make up artist Clare Read. A fellow Australian we hit it off immediately. Clare was busy doing weekly publications and had been doing a little work in New York. Now I see her name everywhere. Cracking London and New York is amazing and her ever changing make up style is truly beautiful.
Not sure where this Valerija Kelava editorial is from just found it on Clare’s site, but the make up gives her a Russian ice skating princess feel and I love it.

Photographer Barry Hollywood, Fashion by Jamee Gidwitz, Make Up Wendy Karcher, Hair by Shintaro and model Ashley Smith @ Trump models. The Gap need to jump on the bandwagon and do a campaign with Ashley, Georgia May, Jess Hart, Lara Stone and the original Lauren Hutton.
Another gap-tooth girl ruling it. Does Russh create model superstars or is it I just take proper notice of the girls they use for editorials and all of a sudden they are everywhere. 1am is a definite online favorite of mine..check it out!
Oyster Magazine – Issue 87 June/July, Photography by Elvis Di Fazio @ DLM, Styling/Creative Direction by Bex Sheers @ DLM, Makeup by Jody Oliver @ DLM. Hair by Heath Massi @ DLM. Model Rachel Rutt @ Chic. I wondered where Rachel has been hiding.
Call me old fashioned, but I hate it when images get cropped to give white space for text. I just want to see more, and get closer to the red dress image with those amazing circular cut outs.

Model Olivia at Chic, Photographer Adrian Mesko, Fashion Editor Ryan Lobo, Hair and Make Up Jasmin Lo. There has to be said about Pages style of straight up cool style of shooting fashion. Often eyes to camera and strong poses in black and white, its the Calvin Klein school of thought and I love it.
Not sure why the Swedish born Olivia Stalin is Down Under but signed to Chic maybe there is more to come from this icy blue staring beauty.
City Magazine September 2010 Editorial, Model: Jessica Hart, Photographer: Tim Zaragoza, Stylist: Allan Kennedy, Hair: Luke Baker and
Makeup: Robert Greene.
The gap tooth girls have it at the minute. Jess Hart is one of those natural Australian beauties who used her middle finger with the casting agents overseas told her to get some braces to close the gap and it’s finally paying off.
