” Twenty-seven Names did something a little different to present their Winter 2012 collection to us today. Held at the Hopkinson-Cundy Gallery on Cross Street, the brand put on a little bit of an exhibition instead of your typical show. It was a breath of fresh air at 9:00pm tonight, after a solid 9 hours of catwalk. ”
I like exrtremes… either nothing matches and its a mixed bag from the pile on your floor or it’s head to toe dress like your grandma everything matches. I want a tartan hat to match my dress.

A collaboration with Jenny Kee and Linda Jackson for the first edition of January Magazine. Amazing how the archives open up to seem very relevant now, abstract rainbow prints and skyline knitwear…Alice this is for you!

” New Melbourne-based journal of creativity January Biannual is an insightful study of timeless beauty, inspiration and aesthetic restraint. Run by a small creative team – fronted by Creative Director Pouline Töpfer, Art Director Olivia Nicholas, Managing Editor Mark Giuffre and Editor Christian McQueen – the publication’s gaze stretches much further afield. Bestowing no privilege on old or new, past or present, local or international, January hangs its hat on beauty, intelligence and timelessness, no matter its place or era.”
What an amazing cover to a first edition. The simplicity will stand out on the shelves…it’s already selling in Colette.

Jaimie Lee Major started out as a painter specialising in vibrant water colours and it shows.
Jaimie Lee caught my eye with the Thom Kerr Pollination campaign. This has slightly more of a colour explosion, and yet the clothes actually stand out amongst the fireworks.
What a beautiful pout.
Campaign versus lookbook. In this case it’s a necessity to have both, although the prints still bounce in the campaign it’s the silhouettes that demand a pale silent background. i have always been a sucker for dresses to be worn once and then stick to my memory for years. I really should just rent clothes.

Portrait | Annabella Barber by Matthew Priestley, styled by Lindsi Lane with hair and makeup by Marni Burton.
This is the first time I have seen the Amber Valletta resemblance. Bella actually has the face of an actress, I wonder if she is heading down that track as she has been quiet on the modeling front since she appeared in the Kanye filmclip.
